Overview

Together we can change the world by changing the world of ONE person.

LOVE IN ACTION exists to take the ministry of Jesus Christ outside the four walls of the church. Based on Matthew 25:35-36, our heart is to reach out to those who are often ignored by serving them.  Our main focus points are the thirsty, hungry, naked, sick, prison, stranger, orphan and widow.

How You Can Put LOVE IN ACTION:

If you have one of the following areas of outreach on your heart (thirsty, hungry, naked, sick, stranger), we encourage you to lead a Life Group that focuses on the specific area where the group can minister to "the least of these" during the Life Group semester.

If you have prison on your heart, we encourage you to join our jail ministry where we minister to men and women in the Osceola County Jail once-a-month.

If you have orphans or widows on your heart, we encourage three options:

  1. Become a licensed foster or adoptive home.
  2. Become a trained mentor or family home to a homeless young lady.
  3. Join our "LOVE IN ACTION" support team where you can assist us in caring for orphans and widows through the following acts of service: transportation, finances, home repairs, car repairs, lawn care, cleaning and more!

Partnering To Make A Difference

Our LOVE IN ACTION outreach ministry involves the following:

  • FLC is a host location for Osceola County's Foster and Adoptive Association.  Meetings occur on the second Thursday of each month @7PM on our campus in building #4.
  • FLC is partners with Grace Landings where together we are reaching young ladies who have aged-out of foster care and are now homeless.  We are also supporters of the Fostering Our Future program (www.fosteringourfuture.info).
  • FLC is a host location for PRIDE.  Pride Class is the road to becoming a licensed foster home or adoptive home.
  • FLC is partners with My Beloved Widows, Osceola Christian Ministries and Life In The Son where we are financially investing in the lives of the homeless and widows.
  • FLC is partners with our local child welfare agencies (CBC, One Hope United, GAL, Gulf Coast and CHN).
